It was such a priviledge to spend some time with Meccah and her daughter Kirah. Not only are they both beautiful and sweet, but they are so much fun to watch together as a mother and daughter pair. Here’s a peek of how our time was spent – many giggles and a bunch of laughs. Thanks, you two, for the delightful evening!
I have the distinct advantage of a sweet niece and adorable nephews. As a stepping stone towards my portrait business, my brother and sister-in-law graciously allowed me to invade their backyard to photograph their children. Once I got past a small case of nerves, I had a ball with these two children. I had suggestions for poses, which they quickly countered with suggestions of their own (and good suggestions, I might add!) All in all, the afternoon was well spent. So thanks, dear relatives, for believing in me enough to surrender your children to me for an hour!
We found a new park this afternoon, most perfect for the children and all their running around craziness. And interspersed with their antics were a few moments here and there in which I was able to corral them and keep them still. I learned a whole lot, both technically and in balancing the posing with what comes natural. In the end, I’m so excited about how the photos turned out. I hope the joy of learning and discovering never grows old, for if it does, I will grow old at that same moment.
