This past week I spent an evening with Chad and Angela and their adorable little girl. Despite the heat and the hills, I think we all had a good time. (I’ll have to remember to bring water for everyone next time we do a shoot like this, lol. We were all pretty parched by the time we got back to the parking lot.) But what a beautiful family they are!
Thank you, guys, for allowing me the opportunity to spend some time with you! Here are just a few pictures from our time at the park.

Yesterday morning my mom and I had the honor of watching two young men work with their steer. It was so obvious to me how hard their path has been since they got these animals in November, yet what an incredible job they have done as they’ve worked to ready these animals first for the fair and then for auction. I was reminded of how stubborn large animals can be and how persistant young men can be when their reputation is at steak, er stake. Gentlemen, you did a wonderful job! I thoroughly enjoyed my time at your place, as did my mother. So thank you!

Last night I accompanied my parents on a photo shoot, and in the process met a dear, sweet family. One of the first things the little daughter said to me was, “I’m on my way to Neverland!” And so went the evening, almost magical in the location and the relaxed interaction we were all able to share. I love this business, for it allows opportunity to meet just these type of people, expanding borders and blossoming new friendships. It was a pleasure, you four! Thanks for letting me tag along.

Three little princesses dancing barefoot through the grass. How else can I describe these sweet granddaughters of Ken and Mary? We spent some time together this afternoon chasing grasshoppers and blowing up balloons and searching for goldfish in the pond. What we would have done had we actually found any fish I don’t know, but the searching part sure was fun! Here’s a sneak peek of some of the goings on. Once I get some more edited, I’ll add them in. Thank you, Ken and Mary, for such a fabulous opportunity to get to know these precious girls!

I had the awesome opportunity to help my parents with a wedding this weekend. Helping someone capture such a special moment is so humbling. And seeing people at their happiest, and looking their best is a photographer’s dream come true.
There are so many “once in a lifetime” moments at a wedding, like the instant the groom first sees his bride, and the kiss at the end, but because I wasn’t shooting the actual ceremony, but rather serving as the “roving artistic eye,” I was able to fully enjoy the day without any pressure to capture those exact moments. It was a perfect part for me in the whole process, and one for which I’m truly thankful.
(And I have to add that my dear husband was a trooper, and took all three of our children camping for the weeknd while I was busy admiring silk and roses! lol)
Here’s a peek at the beautiful bride and one of her flower girls:
