We took a road trip this weekend out to the Mount Hood Fruit Loop, and with a name like that, who wouldn’t have fun on the adventure? We found our next vacation spot, and for some reason the kids just aren’t that excited! lol

And then we found the coolest train depot that will definitely be revisited this summer for a bit of grungy picture fun:

And on last thing on the trip that absolutely cracked us up.

Isn’t that the greatest? THESE are the reasons I love taking our camera absolutely everywhere, for there are smiles to remember. I know the memory of the drive would have gotten lost in the shuffle of our brains if we hadn’t captured it in pictures. There’s such a safety in pictures. With these, our whole family will remember the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and oranges we ate in the parking lot next to this car, watching the llamas across the street. We’ll remember the discussion of oreo cookie psychology while we munched on our dessert, and the curiosities of where bug juice comes from. Ahhhh, family road trips. *smile*
Here’s one more image from last night just to share a grin:

My children are my main source of inspiration for my photography, and this week (is it only Monday?) my youngest prompted a new storyboards set for Studio Amy. Oh my, how he seeks to push those buttons every day. But I’m sure if you asked him he’d respond in kind that Mommy and Daddy push his, lol. Here he is in all his intensity, heehee. LOVE this boy.

Awww, see this little guy? He’s a darling, that’s for sure – my nephew!!! What a jolly time we had over there on Friday evening playing with him and his two brothers and sister. The poor thing just didn’t want to to sleep for pictures, but we were still able to grab a few shots of him very wide awake. Maybe this week we’ll give it another go, for who can get enough newborn shots? Too much fun. . .

Well, I’ve given myself a bit of a makeover and a better idea of what I want to do with this photography business now. I’ve finally settled on a logo, which has been a long time coming – something clean, simple, yet with a little playfulness. But I wanted it to match my direction and without that there was no logo, HA! So here it is:

It is now plastered all over my new site, lol. Have you seen it yet? It’s what’s kept me cloistered in the house this past week, until this afternoon. I took a much needed breather and we all headed out in the sunshine, hunting a location I’ve heard much about. The kids had a ball running around, but my poor husband seemed a tad bored with the happenings. Here he is yawning, our youngest giving him a what-for. What a crack up. This is our life, lol.

And here are a few more that just make me smile. Happy Valentine’s Day, all!

And my favorite of the day . . .

A new treat is coming for my business, sometime within the next 72 hours. I am fairly dancing with excitement!!! I have to say that this last week and a half has been a time of growth, planning, and inspiration – much due to this wonderful gal and her amazing generosity of time, knowledge, and heart. Thank you, Kathy!!! Do you even know how you’ve motivated me?
