Next week I have two people shoots, but for now I have one more run at the food. (And no, just because I’m hungry and obsessed with food it doesn’t mean I’m pregnant. I promise!!!) ;) I’ve been working on some stock sets for Studio Amy today, so if you’re a scrapper or want some things to decorate with on your kitchen walls, hop on over and grab a set or two or three!

Aren’t they FUN!?? I’m so excited at how they came together.

Confession time again. I’m realizing how obsessed I am with food of late. I found the last of the cookies this morning (and my how good one of them was with the freshly brewed coffee)!

And then the other night I realized I hadn’t taken a single photo all day long. And I also realized that a friend of mine would give me exceedingly hearty grief if I didn’t get one (thank you, Chris!) so I had a little fun. The broccoli took center stage in front of my lens . . .

Yes, it still cracks me up. So what, you ask, happened to his head? Well, dinner was delicious:

And one more to share with you. My dear, sweet husband went above and beyond the call of duty today, and showered me with love. The cake is his work of art – his first cake-baking experience. The birthday was mine – not my first.

Isn’t it beautiful?

I’m all about being real lately – isn’t everyone happier and more comfortable when we all just let our hair down? So here’s a truth about us – we lose socks. Not just the occasional one in the laundry – but more like pairs and pairs. So this week while I was putting away laundry and setting the massive pile of lone socks on the floor by the bedroom door yet again, I thought up a little scheme that involved fresh baked cookies and sockage. I got the cookie dough all mixed up in the kitchen then called the kids and promised them one freshly baked ooey gooey luscious irresistble chocolate chip cookie for each pair of socks they found around the house, excluding their sock drawers and the dirty laundry. heehee, aren’t I awful? Can you believe they unearthed about 12 pair in under 15 minutes? Here’s our little Fidget enjoying the spoils:

I have loved every shoot I’ve done so far. Yes, literally loved them all. But every once in a while I come away from a shoot feeling I have benefited more than my client possibly could. Such was this afternoon with Troy. This man has such a heart for service, such a heart for his customers, and such a willingness to share ideas and to TEACH that my head is still reeling from it all. He is a home inspector, and let me assure that if you have any needs, he WILL take care of them for you. His reputation, of which I heard even before ever meeting him, is top-notch. And now having spent some time with him, it is easy to see why.

So thank you, Troy, for sharing your heart and your pearls of wisdom! It was greatly appreciated.

Our family has been just absolutely ravaged by this flu for the past several weeks. But today two of the kids and I got out with my dad for a fun little hike. Yeah, I’m SO sore tonight, lol! But it felt wonderful to be out shooting again, and the kids got to stretch and run after being cooped up for so long. Thanks, dad, for such a great time!

And here’s the tale at the very end:
